On 6 January 2014 amidst high security, our SOPW team was present when Jagtar Singh Hawara was specially transported from Tihar Jail in Delhi, to make a court appearance in the sacred town of Anandpur Sahib.

In the photo you can see as he was led away, Bhai Hawara halted for a special moment, he bowed his head and said a prayer as in the distance he set his eyes on Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, the spiritual home of the Khalsa. In this auspicious week of the birth of Guru Gobind Singh, his darshan of Guru Ji, no matter from how far, was even more poignant and on his lips was a prayer for the chardi kalla of the Sikh nation.
